2nd Annual Tour de Blairstown
August 5 @ 6:30 am - 3:00 pm
Bicycle ride of 25, 40 or 62 mile routes through the iconic roads of beautiful Blairstown and surrounding Warren County to benefit the Foodshed Alliance. All rides start and end at the Blairstown Farmers’ Market on Route 521/ Stillwater Road (next to Agway and Blairstown Fire Station-across from the Blairstown Elementary School). All routes will be marked, cue sheets provided and rest stops along the way. Port-a-johns available at start/finish and at rest stops. Continental breakfast will be set up at the start.
Check-in for registered riders opens on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 6:30am and closes at 9:00am. The 62-mile ride leaves at 7:30am; the 40-mile ride leaves at 8:00pm; and the 25-mile ride leaves at 8:30am. Minors 18 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Online registration is $45 until 8:00pm on August 4. On-site registration will be $50 and we will accept cash, checks or credit cards.
Lunch after the ride is included in your registration fee and is being catered by Race Farm Cafe and Creamery. The first 300 registered riders will get a complimentary ride t-shirt.
Following the ride, you will have the opportunity to shop at the Blairstown Farmers’ Market and/or enjoy Blairstown Historic Day, sponsored by the Blairstown Museum, a celebration of Blairstown’s heritage on Main Street, just one block from the market. Spend the afternoon enjoying the ambiance of a bygone era with live entertainment; antique, craft and food vendors; antique/vintage car show; a celebration of John Insley Blair’s birthday (his birthday is 8/22) and much more.
Organized by Marty’s Reliable Cycle to benefit the Foodshed Alliance, the Tour de Blairstown is sponsored by the Blairstown Rotary Club, the Greater Blairstown Business Association and the Blairstown Museum. It is supported by the Blairstown Enhancement Committee, YMCA Camp Mason, Community Supported Garden at Genesis Farm, Township of Frelinghuysen, Township of Stillwater and Triple Brook Camping Resort.
Proceeds from the Tour de Blairstown benefit the Foodshed Alliance and its LocalShare program to support our local food economy and deliver farm-fresh food to those in need.
