Building a Resilient Food System in the Garden State
March 31, 2016 @ 7:00 am - 8:30 pm$10
Each year Grow It Green Morristown, in partnership with the Foodshed Alliance, hosts a monthly series to inspire, connect, and challenge some of the greatest food issues of today. This year we have gathered local New Jersey experts to speak about the issues facing your family’s access to healthy, local food.
Could New Jersey farms supply enough food if something were to happen to disrupt our outside supply chains? How can we increase the number of NJ food-producing farms while strengthening the relationship between communities and farmers?
Kendrya Close has a passion for local food and activism for sustainable agriculture and is the Executive Director of the Foodshed Alliance, which is devoted to promoting locally grown food and farming. The Foodshed Alliance works at the intersection of food, farming and the environment to foster a self-sustaining foodshed that supports farmers, nourishes people, respects the land and strengthens our communities.
Cost is $10 per session; $20 for all three sessions. Reserve your spot today.
