Food Hub Feasibility Meeting

Calling all local farmers, aspiring food and beverage entrepreneurs, and aspiring entrepreneur who deal with agricultural products in any way, shape or form . . . we want to hear from you!
The Foodshed Alliance is working on a feasibility study to ascertain the interest, desire and potential scope of an incubator/hub concept aimed at stimulating entrepreneurship in the Northern New Jersey area. There are currently no food hubs in the state of New Jersey. This represents a huge opportunity for our state, as it would allow many farms to expand their direct-to-consumer sales to include intermediated sales channels. It would also give value-added food vendors the opportunity for additional sales.
Please join us for a round table discussion at Crystal Spring (1 Wild Turkey Way, Hamburg), in the Saratoga Room on Wednesday, January 13 at 10 a.m. Ben del Coro, Foodshed Alliance board member and Founder/Manager of the Sparta Farmers’ Market and Jim Thaller, Managing Director of Tallier Trading Group as well as Senior Agribusiness Advisor at the World Bank, will lead the discussion.
