ServSafe Manager Course

An 8 hour ServSafe Manager® Course will be offered at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) through Skylands Professional Training a regional partnership between Warren and Sussex County Community Colleges. This course is for those who need ServSafe® certification to comply with Chapter 24 Food Code in NJ.

This course will provide training to enhance the knowledge of current and prospective food service managers in the principles of food sanitation and safety including the Hazard Analysis Critical Point system.

This two-day certification course offered through Skylands Professional Training, is recommended for food service personal who are seeking SERVSAFE® recertification or who have worked in food service for at least one year.

Managers will learn the following and how to share this information with their staff; sanitation concepts and the dangers of foodborne illness, safe operation and preventing cross contamination, and applying sanitation and cleaning concepts to your overall operation including pest management.

This certification meets the NJ Department of Health and county ordinances for food handlers and meets the requirement in New Jersey for RISK “Type 3” Food Establishments under Chapter 24 Food Code. Certification is valid for a 5 year period.

Class dates: Wednesday March 1 and March 8, 2107 (Snow date March 22, 2017) 1:00 – 5:00pm
Tuition: $79.00 + textbook required. Tuition includes study materials.

Registration Deadline: 2/20/17. Registered students will receive a study packet and certification directives prior to the start of class.
