The Foodshed Alliance invited advocates working in the agriculture, food and environment sectors to explore organizing a coalition to collectively work on sustainable agriculture policy in the state of New Jersey.

Attendees at the gathering at Duke Farms brainstormed pressing issues in the agriculture, food and environment sectors that should be addressed, as well as who else should be invited to the group.

Representatives from the Northeast Organic Farming Association of New Jersey (NOFA-NJ), New Jersey Highlands Coalition, City Green, New Jersey Audubon, North Jersey Resource Conservation & Development (RC&D), and RWJBarnabas Health attended the gathering at Duke Farms. Follow-up meetings to select issues, and define goals and strategies for the group will be scheduled in 2020.
