Why Volunteer With Us?

Whether you’re harvesting surplus produce for food-insecure families, building infrastructure for regenerative farms, or helping restore native habitat along our watershed, your team’s time and talent will directly benefit the land, local farms, and community members in need.

Volunteering with the Foodshed Alliance is a powerful way to:

  • Engage your team in a hands-on service experience

  • Build team cohesion and morale in an outdoor setting

  • Demonstrate your company’s values through community investment

  • Support real, local solutions to hunger, land access, and climate resilience

How Your Group Can Make a Real Difference

Now is the time to mobilize your group for a day of meaningful service that supports local farms, strengthens our food system, and restores the environment. We customize each volunteer experience to meet your goals and make the most of your time. Our Volunteer Coordinator can work with you to schedule a volunteer opportunity that unites your team around purpose, impact, and community. Let’s put your values into action—together.

Opportunities for Group Engagement

We tailor volunteer experiences to your group size, goals, and availability. Opportunities include:

  • Gleaning & Distribution – Help rescue fresh, local produce from our partner farms and get it into the hands of neighbors experiencing food insecurity. Teams assist with harvesting, packing, and distribution.

  • On-Farm – Pitch in on a farm site that supports new and underrepresented farmers with affordable access to land. Tasks include prepping soil, building infrastructure, maintaining shared spaces, or lending skills in marketing, construction, or administration.

  • Watershed Stewardship – Get your hands dirty restoring local ecology! Help plant native species, remove invasive plants, or assist in stream cleanups that improve water quality and habitat.
